Living the Language with EF

I can’t stop watching these beautiful advertisements for EF (Education First) Language Schools.

EF is a Sweden-based “international education” company offering a wide variety of educational programs, many of which involve studying abroad. These four spots for their “Live the Language” campaign, produced by Camp David and directed by Gustav Johansson, encourage us to immerse ourselves when we travel, learning the language and culture.

There are so many great things to say about these spots. The music (by Magnus Lidehäll) is so cheerful and the typography (by Albin Holmqvist) is spot-on. Also, as a small-time linguistics aficionado, I liked that the “pronunciation spelling” under all of the words used phonetic transcription systems such as IPA and Pinyin.

Makes me wish I studied abroad when I was in college, but it also makes me feel like it’s not too late for me to pack up my bags and travel.
